Hi everyone,

We are in the process of buying a folding camper but cannot make our mind up which is best  Pennine,Conway or a Dandy.I have all the specs on the first two but I cannot find any on a Dandy what I am basically after are the widths and lengths of all the Dandys  also are the beds in a permanent down position like the Penninesand Conways also if anybody could give  a unbiased prosand cons between the the others and a Dandy I would be most grateful.

An unbiased opinion will not be available
we have specs and sizes on our dandycamper forum and members that will be pleased to answer your questions,as a dandy owner then you can guess my answer as to which is best, the question is though what aspect of best are you after because there will be plus and minus with canvas and pvc,the big plus for me with pvc is all year round camping with no need to dry the unit,we are even having a christmas meet which in canvas i could not attend as i have no where to dry a camper.
This is our forumhttp://www.dandycampers.org/there are obviously others i would suggest you join them all and find out as much as you can from current owners.

i think this will depend on your bugget,as it is much easier to get a good old pennine conway than a dandy.for me the dandys are better the newer they get,but the others don't really change that much.

for me i would choose the pre 2008 conway over the pennine just for the slide out beds,as this makes for a very easy setup with the insides staying dry at all times.

Some Pennine's will have one "king" size bed and one double bed which may be a factor.

Trigano/Raclet's some models have 2 king size beds which is great for comfort

In general we found the pennine's/Conways to be nicer finished inside than the Dandy we saw and the Dandies are generally older models as they were finished production some years ago. they do seem to hold tehir value however, and despite their more finctional interiors they have lot going for them in the winterised versions, especially in our climate. our main reason for not getting a Dandy in the end was we wouldn;t get enough use from any FC in the winter months anyway so its main advantage wasn't so much one for us

Make sure you see one in the flesh though to ensure you ar happy with the look as they are different to other FC's. Also check out what awning comes with a Dandy otehrwise youmay need a new acrylic lightweight one possibly as many didn't have the original ones with it. Most Pennine's seem to come with their original awnings

There is no right and worng in general, just what is right for you
