Was on a site last week and i was using the movers to level off and while i was doing this a gentleman came talking to me so i carried on and got the legs down.My next move was get the bar to take the movers off the tyres and he went into a rant "nay nay lad you dont do that you leave them on, you only take them off while you towing i been towing for years been there done that.Well been new to movers i agreed left them on but minute he went i pulled them off as i though this is not right.So the big question is,is he right and i got it totally wrong or am i right and hes just talking like a know all interesting would love some opinions please

Thanks folks for your opinions i shall carry on the way i was doing it ,so i will disregard mr been there done that, ah well you do get them but what really annoyed me was not his opinions but do as i say attitude

Very good point.  If it can go wrong it will.  Imagine being in bed, and suddenly trundling across the field....

Ofcourse, perhaps "the Gentleman" who was so free with his rant, maintains his own unit so badly that his handbrake doen't work and he has to leave his motor mover in place to act as a brake.

There are many ways of giving advice and it is not difficult to do so in such a way that it causes no offence. However, it is not a skill that everyone possesses and we will all come across pillocks like these from time to time.

Thanks for sharing this experience with us. Forewarned is fore-armed and hopefully one of us will come across this "gentleman" in the future and put him in his place.

Bob was told in September last it must be taken off as it is possible to stick on the wheel so you will not be able to disengage when your ready to drive away.

Could having a heatwave do this sort of thing if it gets stuck and damage tyres.

Anyway he said off so ours will be off
