Visited the Motorhome and carvan show at the weekend and walked away with an order for a new Crusader delux.  We finally decided that the toilet would possilbly be useful for the night time.  Can't wait until we pick it up on the 18th March.  Just need to relocate the Mexican Orange bush that is blocking the access to garden.

OH would like a motor mover so any recommendations would be appreciated.  Talked to some makers at the show, but they didn't seem to know what a folding camper was.

Well done on your purchase, last time I looked, the layout of the Crusader, was better than the Quartz6 imho, of course it's all down to personal choice.

What did put me of though was the Acrylic canvas, I much prefer the "Cotton" canvas of old.

Just wish they would offer, a "Cotton" option for, old skool folk like me.

By the time, I get round to buying a FC, there will be no "Cotton" ones left.

The Crusader/Pathfinder needs special plates bolted to the chassis to accommodate the extra depth that a Motor Mover needs.

THIS company will supply and fit those plates and a Mover at your home or where you store your FC. We used them to fit ours.

Because of the layout of the chassis members on the FC, the Mover has to be fitted behind the FC road wheels whereas on a single axle caravan it is normally fitted in front of the road wheels.
This is not a problem as the wiring instructions give the wiring for both front or back fitting.

Congratulations on your new purchase. Please do update us with how things go on first trips with the new style "canvas"

Did you get much discount from the RRP if you don't mind me asking?

The only downside that we have found with our FC is the weight restriction.

There are so many essentials that are not included in the original factory delivered weight of, in our case 820kg like the battery, gas, aquaroll etc that by the time we add our "extras" we are weighing in at 991kg.

That does not include the Pathfinder awning, poles, carpet etc. That is another 52kg, taking the max weight of 1000kg well over the limit and necessitating carrying the awning etc in the car or leaving it at home, which we usually do.

Our last Pop-Top van had a luggage capacity of 297kg and that was just for our clothes, food etc; but that van was too small for the prolonged touring that retirement now affords us and so now we have a FC with oodles of room and very little carrying capacity. Ye just canny win.

In fairness Lobey many caravans we have noticed have similar or even less carrying capacity. I do agree that the list ever grows of necessities!

We had a PowrTouch fitted to our 2010 Crusader from new and we are very happy with it. It came with a 5 year warrantly.

We are paying £12995 including awning and delivery to Home counties camping centre in Sheperton.  We pick it up on the 18th March. Now planning were to go on the 27th March.
