We were in a similar position to you a few weeks back Chopper Doctor. I had done lots of research (lots of valuable tips here on these forums - even a section on canvas versus polyester). We were originally taken by the Sunncamp 400, but were also keen on the Trigano Olympe. We ended up (after going to teh Excel show) with a Raclet Quickstop. In summary the deliberations were:

  • Sunncamp 400 - very good value and loads of space, but the concensus seems to be that the cabin can take 15 minutes if you are very quick and more usually 30 minutues (there are alos those concerned about the build quality, but just as many who say that this is not an issue at all)
  • Trigano Olympe - good name and good reviews on this site and it is much quicker to errect, but you are looking at a much higher new price and I was concerned about having such a big awning part of the main unit - I have had experinece of awnings being taken by the wind before. It is also quite a large trailer and the bedrooms being accessed from the awning rather than the cabin was not ideal for us with two quite young children
  • Raclet Quickstop - Good name and good reviews, but what swung it for us is the fact that the cabin can be up within five minutes and the awning is meant to take only 30 minutes more. We got a very good deal at the show and teh kitchen comes as standard (may be amusing to some as I started the with or without kitchen post!)

Hope that helps, but what we found is that buying a trailer tent - your dream is someone else's no go. Good luck with the purchase and enjoy using it!

congrats!! you wont regret the TT...we have an old one and are very happy with it...2 children under 7 and they lough it too....half the battle!! 400 awning is big and heavy - be under no illusions there - but well worth the effort.
