may find that pegging around the main unit awkward and most hard standings unless it's concrete will be more of a hindrance than help ,you would need rock style pegs and a lot of ooompfff!!! TT,s are more suited to grass pitching IMO

What kind of a TT have you got? Mine only needs 8 pegs or so and is OK on the hardstandings I've been on with some rock pegs. If it needs a lot of pegs i'd not do it.

8?? I must be doing something wrong! I don't like hard standing but if needs must..
Just make sure it is a suitable type, some sites have concrete pads which are no good whatsoever. C&CC sites don't specify what their hard standings are,so if you have not been before, you would need to check. Graval can damage you groundsheet too.

I can manage with 8, obviously if it was windy they'd all be pegged down but it's OK with 4 across the front, 2 at the back and 2 in the middles of the sides.

We did pitch once with just a few pegs,a lovely dry week on a level pitch, fantastic. The first and only time I have packed up completely dry, didn't know what to do with myself once I got home!

In the CC&C you only have to ask if you get to the pitch and find it is no good. They will find another as lots want hard standing and not always available. We always book hard standing for the FC but if it turns out to be big stones as come are when new laid It does not allow my w.chair to move at all, and will damage the tyres on it. Gravel is fine as we have the Delta pegs from member Rob. Got both steel and plastic ones for the guys and skirts. But they have always another pitch in case. Probably the CC and all the small sites will accomodate you. Better to of booked hard standing in the first place as if you want and cannot have is better if you have and then do not want . Hefty caravans & motorhomes could do with hard standing so you can swop.

We stayed on a hard standing pitch last year and had no problems pegging out :) The pegs went into the grass surrounding the pitch and we didn't need to bother putting down a groundsheet :) Does mean that you have to keep shoes on all the time but any spillages just soak into the ground :)
Will always try to get hard standing from now on :)
