Have wondered about the bike rack.. Do you have to remove it on arrival before you pitch? Or does it just flip over with the bed?

The rack consists of four posts which bolt onto existing corner steadies ( you get the wind down steadies with the rack ) as replacements.

The top slides onto all 4 posts then locks in place with hand screws.

You have to take the top off and rotate the posts to the floor before erecting cabin ( about a 5 min job )

The posts stay in place as per this pic of ours...

We already have wind down steadies. As junior grows up bike rack might be necessary. The front box is fantastic isn't it? Like a tardis. Fits our table top fridge and portaloo.

Yes couldn't believe the size of the front box !!!

Only problem i found when test pitching was that the storage box is in the way although it was our first and only time pitching it. Hopefully find an easy way to do it once we have done it a couple of times !!!

lol. bit like something painful that gets forgotten, you remind me what a ball ache pegging in around the box is. I've not yet found any other way than lying down and slowly hammering the pegs in. think you can double up on a couple of pegging points just to make life a little easier. mallet tends to hit the under side of the box/a-frame during the process.

still full of admiration for bear laKes but i don't think there is any going back now. looking forward to being it out, just wish it was a little quicker to pitch. probably takes as long as the bear did. will be keeping it until we can afford a caravan, several seasons i should think. it's a great tent, hopefully this year it will get even better now we are getting used to it.
