We had the first outing with our Conway Cruiser last week and got back yesterday.
We had a fantastic week at Mill Park North Devon.
We had six beautiful days and just a bit of rain on the last day. It was very cold at night but the heated mattress toppers worked a treat. It was really nice not to have to make up beds every night. Can't wait for our next trip to Devon in July for my son's wedding.
Regards
John

Hi John

glad you had a nice trip, you were very lucky with the weather. We are having our first trip with our trailer tent this weekend, so we're going to be very cold!

The heated mattress toppers are a godsend aren't they? We didn't have them last year and we were cold in the night, but have been toasty this time.

We got ours from argos...a single for our child's bed and a double for ours...we also got the double with dual control. Have to say as a topper, it's pretty naff , not very thick, but it's lovely and warm and has an all night setting which keeps you warm without being too hot.

Glad you had a great time, We are getting our camargue ready for our first outing next week, to castle bay holiday park in Portpatrick.I was thinking of getting a small portable heater, as we are not big fans of electric style blankets.Think it may be cold, but extra duvets and good thermal socks should help ha ha.

My bed is made up ready.

Mattress, then mattress topper, then electric blanket, then fitted sheet, then fleece blanket (under me), then merano wool blanket over me, then opened out sleeping bag over that, and then, if needed, 2 Quishions in the locker but handy.

Oh, and two furry hot water bottles that snore.

Hi John glad you had a good first trip. We also just got back from 5 days in devon and had mixed weather, including a wet and windy pack up for first time which is not a lot of fun! There are compromises with FC's but for us they are worth it! Love sleeping under canvas listening to pitter patter of rain!
