Well we are all ready for our first trip this weekend but it's the weather!!!

My hubby thinks it will be to cold and wet it's the night times we worry about have 2 three year olds and friends sleeping in the awning!! It's given about 9 in the day dropping to about 1or 2 at night!

Has any one chanced it and have you been ok and warm? I like my comforts we do have a radiator and it's in our Pullman

Oh mo what do we do???

We camped last April in our frame tent with no electric. The days were glorious but the nights were so cold. I slept in a four season sleeping bag on a metal camp bed with cardboard underneath. I wore skiing trousers as well as a jumper, t shirt and water proof coat, hat and gloves and we had two gas heaters on as well! I was still cold!
I would be worried about the kids too but if your in a Pullman with a radiator you should be okay? Take quilts too and wrap up warm I'm sure you will be warmer than us as your off the floor! X

You'll be fine inside the camper but unless you have some decent insulation for the underneath of those in the awning - they may not find it so welcoming!. We woke up last Tuesday with a thick frost oustide and i would guess no more than 0 degrees overnight but we were toasty inside the sleeping compartments.

As above wet pack up is another matter and having done it now, not something I will look forward to again in a hurry, especially if cold and wet!

It has been cold...we've been okay in the camper, blow heater and heated matresses...we were dreading a wet pack up today, but although it rained through the night, it wasn't raining when we packed away...we gave everything a good dry with towels, so hopefully it will be okay...will probably give it an air tomorrow if its fine before we put it back in the garage.

Have to say, I wouldn't like to have slept in the awning...even with heating, it's a much bigger space to heat...we could feel the cold as soon as we opened the camper door.

We were in Northern Ireland last June and the night temp was below freezing.

Thankfully we did not have the awning with us but we did have an oil filled radiator and electric blankets.

we are going away on wednesday for 3 nights, have extra duvet, blanket and have bought a small electric heater. with having the dog with us he will keep us warm at night (ha ha). if you book to go away, I think you make the most of it anyway as the weather could be good or bad if you stay at home.
