My Dandy Designer's jockey wheel has seen better days and doesn't work at all now- husband and I have been lifting the nose onto the towball, which isn't that easy!  The winding part has gone, and the wheel itself needs replacing.  I am now resigned to buying a full new one- although I tried to buy one from Go Outdoors, and only realised when I got it home that it was too thin to be held in the clamp attached to the Dandy's A frame...  Can anyone give me a hint as to where to find one that will fit my 1995 Designer?  Also, how much should I expect to pay...?  Thanks!

take the old one off ,and take it with you for size matching to any caravan spares shop ,they do vary a lot in diameter but looking in our local caravan dealership theres plenty available and not to pricey either around £20

it will be a 34, 43 or 48 mm diameter, so just measure it, you can make a good estimate with just a ruler.

Teach a man to fish and he'll sit around on a boat all day drinking beer!

Hello

We all have varying capabilities and if you have difficulties I have no intention to mock.
The original spec for nose weight was only 25lbs so I was wondering what you were running with as a noseweight?
Though I do see Riva Leisure have got revisionist on noseweights and are listing the noseweight on 90's Designers the same as the same as the later post 2003 ones as 30Kg.

I will ask about this.
If you have any Dandy based questions or comments we'd be more than pleased to hear from you. http://www.dandycampers.org/
