I think your biggest problem will be producing the registration documents as we don't have them in Britain but for caravans I think other European countries accept the CRIS document.
Is a folding camper "registered" in the same way as the towcar - whatever the country ? Don't know the process with a car but I would have thought the FC just needs to show the same plate as the vehicle towing it. Sorry if I'm missing something.

My advice is worth no more than the price paid for it
Thank you all for your replies. Rob this true Im still having problems trying to register my folding camper. If camper was say 500kg you just tell your french insurance company you have no plate same as the car.Because camper is over 500kg it has to have mot and its own log book and different number plate and own insurance.I have been on pennine campers office and they say any more info french they look it there files and will charge me £50 i all so contacted camping club they think problems They did find out that pennine did not register these campers on caravan coucil and also not on Cris I will keep you posted morley
Probably a stupid question, so apologies in advance. We live in the UK but want to be able to camp in Europe. Do we have to do anything special about registering our Quickstop, or is that just because you live in France?
Hello Morley
I have a pennine pathfinder which I towed to France with my english car when we moved here. I have since reregistered my car with french plates and now I can't pull my trailer tent :( It sits in our garage qnd has been there for 2 years. I would really like to know how you got on registering your trailer tent in France and if you managed to get the relevant documents from pennine campers (i would willing pay 50€ if it meant I could use my trailer again).
If anyone has any advice about how to get my trailer tent back on the road - please let me know
Have you tried contacting the caravan and camping club? surely one of their team would be able to help, if not they are not worth paying the membership!, even if you're not a member I would still email them.
