Not England or Wales - but anywhere wild camping on the Isle of Arran in Scotland. The island is known as Scotland in minature and I defy you to find anywhere more beautiful!

Oh and the Holy Isle is a short ferry ride away - Arran truly is a beautiful peaceful scenic place to camp and the 55 minute ferry ride is well worth the visit. Once you have been here you will go back again and again! Maybe I should apply for a job with the Scottish tourist board lol

Ive found one in Pembrokshire which is kind of similar, but I need to be a memeber of the club, so thats my first thing to do :)

Check with the site if you can join on arrival (you can at some C&CC sites).

Nantcol Waterfalls is beautiful, you can have camp fires and pitch where you like, the downside is if you want ehu you are more regimented, i guess because of where the ehu stands are. By the way, it is in Wales near to shell island.

Many years ago we camped on the bank of Loch Ness just up from Fort Augustus. It was just stunning.

I agree with a lot of post pple on here...Scotland is your best bet...and anywhere else does tend to get v crowded, particularly in Summer

Try Exmoor ie. Winsford,takes some beating in my book. Also the local post office has some great local produce.
