Does anyone know of where I can buy a caravan step(s) with a handrail attached as coming out of our caravan my husband needs a handrail as it is difficult for him with his bad knees. (Not a static caravan)

I have looked on ebay but can only see the run of the mill steps with no handrail. Thanks.

The easiest answer is to buy a single or double standard caravan step and to take it to your local engineering shop or Blacksmith and ask them to weld a handle onto it. That way you get a custom made, correct height handle without having to pay the silly prices that Mobility Shops will charge you.

The other alternative would be to find a local handyman/joiner who could make you a custom step with handrail to suit your Husbands exact needs.

My OH made a wooden one for my mum's front door before she passed away, with three wide shallow steps and a handrail, as she couldnt lift her legs up far due to having bone cancer in her hips.
