I have a Pennine Fiesta 97 and am looking to buy a pod under the bed. Are the pods in addition to the skirts or can you just have a pod without the skirt??
We have a Raclet Quickstop, which is similar, though not as luxurious as a Countryman/Fiesta. I don't know if you can get different types of underbed pods, but ours is made from the same material as the bedrooms in the main unit, thin cotton. We always put our bed skirts on anyway, because I think it looks smarter, but if you were planning on someone sleeping in the pod I'd imagine the extra layer given by the skirts would be essential for warmth.
------------- I wish I were a glow worm,
a glow worm's never glum.
'Cause how can you be grumpy,
when the sun shines out your bum!
The conway and pennine underbed tents are actually made from canvas the same as the rest of the camper so can in theory be used on their own as it would be just like a canvas tent. The trailer tent ones are just made of cotton, polycotton or nylon and are not waterproof.
They both attach under the bed boards with loops and hooks.
If you have a skirt, you could put a trailer tent underbed tent in there( they are cheaper and more redily available, I think). Keep an eye on ebay they do come up for sale. Careful with the zips though if you are buying skirts as they did get changed quite often,
