Ours is smaller, but similar, and we zip in first. We peg out the corner guy lines as soon as the frame is up, then, like Griff, make sure that the skirt is nice and straight, then zip in, then peg the canvas. The groundsheet then gives you a template to peg the canvas out, something we seem to need!
We do use the corner pegging points on the groundsheet, in case it helps keep it flat, but we only have 3 after pitching in high wind and it doesn't seem to make a lot of difference!
Bear in mind that it will only look like the brochures on a perfectly level pitch, so a degree of wonkiness is to be expected!
