I certainly wouldn't accept a cheque, how do you know they have the funds for it to clear? Cash is the way to go or what we did before when we bought a car we went to the bank and transferred the money into their account.

We bought our present FC cash although I was certainly uneasy about arranging for that amount of cash at the bank and equally uneasy about travelling down to see it, carrying that amount.

Later that year we sold our caravan and that was done by Bank Transfer.

Last year we bought a Porch Awning for our FC and that was paid by Bank Transfer.
