Well, having sold the Pennine Sterling and bought a caravan we found we didn't like it as much as we thought we would. We sold it off and bought a Bonair advertised near us. Wow, it was like coming home! All that space and not having to bring beds out and put them back again!
So easy to tow!
Glad to be back!
I know the feeling I bought a camper van - pretty ill thought out impulse buy after yet another horrendous wet pack up - we had the Pullman and a Cabanon Tent (I can deal with it its just having to spend the rest of the weekend dealing with it all and then having to go back to work on Monday)
It's just too small for us so we'll be selling that on and keeping the Pullman.......until I can afford a bigger motorhome..... hopefully I didn't overpay and I'll get my money back. Anyone after a lovely little campervan perfect for a couple or family with small children not a slightly oversized pair with enormous teenagers lol?
Thank you ever so much for posting this! My tardis is starting to need a bit of work.; I have been asking myself if we would not be better just getting rid and buying an old caravan, but everytime we look in them I think about what you said about space (especially since we have two greyhounds) and getting bedding out etc and tell myself it would drive me mad. So i'll stick with the tardis and gradually get stuff fixed!
------------- August - Carsington Water CC Site. Don't know where else yet - only picking up the caravan on Friday!
Got to admit I get fed up of the thought of wet pack ups and have a strop when we have to do one but I could never sell my folding camper I just love the space and a not having to make beds up. Just need the sun to show its face then we can go away
I dont know - I think its the canvas walls too. The caravan just seemed - so shut in and with both of us and two large teenagers the camper does give more space. I couldn't tow the caravan either but this gives me more freedom to go off with the kids if its nice and OH is working. The way the weather is at the moment if its sunny we're going to pack up and go in a moments (well a day maybe) notice.
The Bonair's good too cos its got the hard top and the roof of the slide out parts have PVC on them. Also the windows are so big its more window than canvas The flat top means we can put any porch awning on it so there's actually not as much canvas as the camper. Not as good looking as a camper though!!!!!
Welcome back - need more details on the Bonair - they look like the Oz/S style pull out hard top ones! As you say not as good looking maybe but arguably more practical in some ways
got to off load our Pennine. My darling wife has had enough of this crap weather.4/5 yrs we've had and only been able to manage a dry week(not hot mind just dry)in the middle of summer. Its no fun if you have to rely on what to pack.Hols for me/familt is all about sun,sea and plenty of cream. Not wet weather gear :-(

Take your Pullman over the channel and find some sun then - thats what we are doing this sumnmer!
Bit unlucky only having one dry weekend in 5 years! However if you live in Wales i can understand - good luck with your new adventures
thanks. yeah i should go over the water for some sun
Doesn't always work, you have to go well south to guarantee sun as we found out last year in Brittany. Wet pack up there as well!! We now have a caravan and are loving it, despite the rain.

would be our luck.Think i could take it to the driest place on the planet and the rain would follow us
Yes obviously I didn't mean just get off the Channel the other side as northern and north western France is sinilar climate to ours in the SE of England!!
Generally the warmer climes in teh summer start Loire and Vendee and further south, but for "guaranteed" sunshine as well as warmth you do really need to be looking far south below a line around Lyon
