Hi all is it worth putting a stabiliser on fiesta max load 750k only not heard of this being done i have a bulldog 200q which should fit o.k. keep dry sid.
Depending on what you are towing with, I would agree its probably not a necessity HOWEVER as you already have the stabiliser and assuming your can fit it yourself, then no reason I guess not to add it

nope totally unneeded ,you would be better off selling the stabiliser
Sorry but i find a definite statement like this worrying have towed for over 40 years and its been my experience any trailer can snake if the right conditions are encountered, the trailer by necessity is connected to the car on a pivot point the tow ball, there is a common misconception that only high sided trailed units snake, this is false, yes the chances of an initial snake starting are lower with a low sided trailer but not impossible,i tow a 750 kg dandy and had the beginning of a snake in Norfolk last year due to an oncoming idiot on a narrow road forcing me to far into the edge of the road,i hit pot holes and turning out of them started the trailer twitching,i controlled it but if i had been inexperienced things could have been different.
If you have one fit it, all it shows is you have taken sensible precautions
------------- they said it couldnt be done so i left it and went camping
a bad days camping is better than a good day at work
thank you all for your sound advice, i have fitted the stabiliser on o.k as you say mike if you have it fit it its best to be safe all we need now is the weather. sid

It helped a lot ... particularly when towing on French motorways at high speed ... i.e. up to 80 mph, when passing big lorries the air buffering can induce twitching. With the stabiliser this virtually vanished.
