Does anyone have any experience of marrying a lightweight awning like an Outdoor evolution Porchlite to a folding camper?

I have just returned from a sodden week in cornwall and the full awning took an age to put up and take down. From now on i will only be going on short 2-3 day trips and so want something just big enough to store the table and a couple of chairs with a quick put up time.

My camper is a Pennine Pullman 2005.

I have seen a couple of posts for a Pathfinder and custom alterations by someone named "Lisa". Can anyone shed any light on the subject?

Yes Lisa will be able to sort you out with a lightweight awning for your Pullman.
No doubt she will be along later to advise you

hi katkins,  we are  thinking the same as you, bought a pennine pathfinder last year and  find the full awning is a chore to put up for short breaks, after researching the uk campsite web, a couple of members suggested buying a porch awning and there is a company very near to us in bolton, lancs, that would put a zip onto your lightweight awning for approx £50, there is a company on e-bay called leisure outlet that are selling  decent sized porch awnings for a 260xl &£129   or  the larger 360xl for £149 free p&p,  the company that would match a zip up to your camper is t v s, i spoke with graham who owns tent valeting services in farnworth nr bolton, today and it would be no problem for them, we were unsure about buying a non pennine awning because of the attaching it to the folding camper as it has no rail like a caravan, just the zip, i think you will find this a cheaper option, than the one that is specially made, plus it is a smart looking awning which you can choose the colour to match your camper, please contact if you need any advise about t v s, good luck, paul

Cheers for pics. Awning looks very nice. Probably too big for our Pullman though.

I'm afraid we are on a tight budget so we are going with the TVS option. Bought a used awning for £60 and TVS are altering it for £75. Transport costs £25. Total cost £160. We have to mark where zip goes so going to offer up awning to camper this weekend. Will keep posted on how it goes.

I know this is an old thread but how did it go with getting an easier to put up awning?

I would like to get a canopy as we will only use our FC for 2/3 nights? Thanks

I think you may have had some replies on your recent thread asking about mattresses and sun canopy.
