were having a nightmare packing away our conway cruiser we cant seem to fold the sides of the canvas in to put the outside cover on efficiantly is there a certain way to fold it
If this is the same as a pennine fiesta or the like. Are you sure you put the right bed side in first. As if we had not been told early on we would of not only buckled ours but would of had it sticking up all over the place and damaged also.
As the Fiesta the left as we face the back door comes out first BUT it goes back second after the right has been folded in. But we had everything left on the bed so it looked lumpy with extra truform mattresses, opened up double sleeping bags used like duvets, and a fancy fleece throw to boot. We can expect a big lumpy top and got it.
But as long as it was all covered it made no difference to us.
Are you putting the canvas on to the roof? This is the first thing to do before folding the bedrooms. Simply throw the canvas back over the roof and you should be okay.
All those that have replied have got fold up Pennine campers like me, not slide out beds as you have in your Cruiser so none of us are any use.
It should all go in there but it doesn't look like a Pennine with the cover on because all the canvas is bundled up underneath it. Hopefully a Cruiser owner will be along later to give you some pointers.
ok will try to help, but it's hard to put in to words!what you do is slide in the beds, after you unclip the side flaps from under the beds.as you slide the bes in you tuck the end canvas in.in doing that, you end up with the side walls hanging down.so you lay these on top of the roof and to keep them there, you tuck the end bits in to make aneat corners.
told you it was hard to explain.
Another little tip is not to completely zip the door closed until after you have pretty much got the trailer all folded up. The reason for this is that if you completely zip up the door, the air contained inside the trailer can't escape and sort of inflates the canvas as the trailer folds up. This makes it much harder to pack it up neatly.
good point jackie,i have the door fully open when the unit goes up,(including the solid door)then when closing the doors are closed,so the air inside stop the canvas from getting snagged on the frame.
said it was hard to put it into words.
We used to have the same problem and for years struggled to put the cover on. I always make sure that I get the canvas pulled up tight on to the roof and always try to do hospital corners. The most important thing we found and never did until last year, was to un-tension the frame inside the camper especially the beds, and move them to the lowest point. We found that once we did this, the cover went on easy. If you already do this then I don't know what the answer can be.
I do the same as wongers.
I find it easier to put the tow-bar end away first rather than the back end.
Its a pity you are not closer to me as I would show you how I put mine up and take it down.

Hi every one..I'm getting conflicting answers ..some people say push bed on the right first then push left bed above towing gear next..othere say they do the other way round ..I'm getting real problems putting it up as bed sliders won't move unless someone leans through half opened door and physically lift the bars then they slide.
