sure this has been done to death, but after losing a wheel and damaging the TT, simple question....

whats the correct torque setting to tighten the wheel bolts to my raclet TT. the wheels are steel and not alloy.....

Sure our tyre fitter said around 65/75lbft for ours. 4 bolt steel 13 inch wheels - seems to be in right sort of range for those sizes in link above

When we torque up wheel nuts we have a chart to go by and steel rims are 86nm and alloys anything from 115 upwards to 170,this is due to the Bailey caravan wheels "falling off" but all manufactures have their own settings and is adviseable to contact them.

new to the forum so stepping carefully;

average figures on cars is about 90nm to about 110nm, they use 17mm/19mm sockets to tighten them, 140nm on my galaxy.

is this any use or am i waffling ???
