Our current TT, a Chantilly, came with no water pump so I connected a caravan submersible pump up to the tap, fitted an on/off switch on the front panel under the sink and wired in a 12v adaptor to run off the mains hookup - all works a treat.
I'm due to collect an Olympe very shortly (Chantilly was great apart from being such a pain to put up and take down.......) which comes with the original, dare I say slightly feeble looking, Trigano pump.
Do they work OK? Where's the on/off switch? I'll adapt it so I don't need the battery pack if we're at a site with mains hook up.
We have never had any trouble with the pump on ours. It is operated by turning the tap on and off.
There is a battery box that takes two bateries, which I would describe as useless hence I did away with the battery operation and put a car cigar lighter onto the wires I cut at the battery box and use a 12v transformer. The tap still turns on an off by operating the tap and it you turn it on full the power will splash the water right over the side of the sink !!!
We actually drilled the rivets out and took the battery box out altogether, which leaves more room inside the kitchen unit.
Thanks Griff. The Chantilly didn't have any kind of switch on the tap, hence I had to drill a hole and fit my own - so I wasn't sure what the Olympe came with.
I'll probably connect up an adaptor like the one below - that's what I did with the Chantilly and it worked fine.
