Hi we live in spain and are driving to U K in the spring to buy our first second hand trailer tent, the most important consideration is that we have a zip in ground sheet because we have three small dogs.and will be camping in spain so dont want creepy crawlies coming in. Any advice on which trailer tents have zip in ground sheet would be appreciated and would narrow down the search.Thankyou very much.

I think Jamet trailer tents have zipped groundsheets. I've seen them on www.camperlands . We bought a camplet from them many moons ago and they are very helpful -may be worth emailing them for more info.

Our Jametic does have ZIG, and it does stop the dog escaping. Previously we had to have him tethered all the time, which wasn't much fun for either him or us! I think Cabanon's have ZIGs as well now, but its a relatively new concept for the manufacturers, what sort of age unit were you thinking of?

We're selling our Jametic in the spring...

All the best,
Alison

I don't blame you buying in the UK, Spanish secondhand prices are crazy.

I hope you already know about the Spanish trailer laws. If buying in the UK chances are it will not have the necessary paperwork to be towed by a Spanish reg vehicle, Some places will do it for you, but make sure you factor that cost into your purchase.

Happy hunting.

Suzi

We've had no problems with the dog, he's a Cairn Terrier, taking him is one of the reasons we camp!

Hi Karen

SuziQ99 is a forum member on here, she has a Comanche Montana TT and lives in Spain so I am sure she can give you some good advice. Also if you post in the Abroad section of the forum I am sure there are a number of folks on there who can help out.
