Hi there,
Planning to get my Countryman out of storage around end of March. It's a 1996 model and only had it a year so not sure if it had been serviced previously.
Does anyone know of someone reputable who can do just the trailer service at a decent price.
Has to be in the South West nearer to Bristol as possible.
Not sure how much I would expect to pay? - any advice welcomed. Thanks
Most caravan servicing places will do the trailer tents as well. We paid £83 inc VAT which involved a thorough inspection of the chassis, wheels and hitching mechanism. Also inspection of fridge and hob.
It would have been £110 if we had had a gas heating or pipework in the unit.
I had my Crusader done on Friday and that cost £130 - £110 for the service and £20 for a pair of one-shot nuts for the wheels. The service included 12v, 240v, gas, water, chassis and brakes.
Unfortunately the chap ran out of time so didn't finish tracing a light cluster fault so that's what I've spent my morning doing :(
Thanks all. I think the basic trailer service chassis, wheels and hitch should do me fine. Brakes were a little squeaky last time I used it so hopefully nothing too major crops up.
We found ours by someone through the mobile engineers association. Advantage is if you store on your drive they will do it there providing you can put it up
As others have said price vary depdning on what you have done so get a price agreed for a basic chassis/running gear service
