I have just bought a secondhand jamet Louisiana trailer tent and the cooker isn't working correctly. The left hand ring lights but is very low but the right ring and grill will not light. I have tried two different gas bottles and regulators but no change. Any advice or recommendations welcome.Scunthorpe northnlincolnshire.
Look under the cooker hob, there should be some stiff copper wire that plugs into the bottom of the burner. Pull this off carefully, clean terminals with emery paper or a nail file and put back.
This sooting up of the thermocouple often is the cause of your problem.
Hi, you mention you tried different bottles and regulators, is there actually gas coming out? You would be able to smell it and hear it.
Have you tried lighting with matches/lighter?
If there's no gas flow, you could have a blockage.
The rubber pipe may be perished or maybe rust in any metal tubing.
Just a thought, are you pressing in the knob whilst you light the hob . This allows gas to flow until the thermocouple is hot. This would mean that the one that's working is faulty! Not trying to teach you suck eggs!
