Hi
I am new to the forum and have just purchased a second hand Conway Corniche trailer tent. Having always had a touring van, I wonder where on the campsite I should be booking my pitch? Will it be tent side, or caravan side?? Sorry it sounds like a silly question. We also have this issue with our Mazda Bongo (unconverted tin-top) when we use the driveaway awning...
Just wondered whether there is an accepted course of action, or maybe just depends on the site.
Also, recommendations for Oxfordshire sites gladly accepted. Thanks in advance.
I think many sites will ask what unit you have when you book but if they don't then just tell them you have a trailer tent and if you need either a grass pitch or hard standing and they'll allocate you a pitch accordingly, usually on the tent side of the site. There was never any problem when I was with my now-ex and we had a tt, likewise I now use my Granvia with a drive away awning and never have any problems getting the right pitch.

Thanks for that. I guess its a case of speaking to each site.
Collected it today but because of this weather haven't seen it up looks pretty good though so just have to hope for the best now. At least we won't have lost a great deal of money - OH thinks we got a pretty good bargain and would make the money back breaking it if no good!
Can't wait for it to be dry enough to try.
We just book a hardstanding or grass pitch with or without electric. We've never been anywhere where your unit type determined where you pitch, even in a tent, unless the entire site is only tents/ caravans. Just request the type of pitch you want and they will book it for you. If you have a folding camper, a lot of sites don't seem to know what they are anyway.
We have not stayed at Bo Peep as a bit too local for us, however we have at the others, these are all private sites. We have also been to the Burford Caravan Club, which is also nice.
