After owning it for a couple of years (purchased from AshwellGirl on here)I think I am ready to sell my Raclet Sprinter/Iris (identified by Raclet Charlie, I believe).
It's been a faithful servant and survived a very rainy Glastonbury 2011 like a trooper. Not a drip of water got in anywhere and it was, without doubt the most comfortable Glasto ever (an unheard of 8 hours sleep a night was had!)
Now, the weather has taken its toll on the floor and where you step into the tent (under where the kitchen fits when it's folded away) has rotted and there is a hole :-(
So, I was looking at possibly repairing but, to be honest I am useless at DIY so was wondering what your thoughts would be on the saleability or otherwise of the TT in an "in need of repair" condition?
I am sure that it could be fixed by anyone with some DIY skills, £100 worth of Marine Ply and a garage.
Would appreciate your thoughts, everything else on the trailer is A-OK, there are a good few trips left in the old gal yet.
it will drastically lower the price as the complete floor would need to be renewed, quite a major job...as the trailer would have to be stripped completely....
Must come down to what you think your time is worth. If for instance you are a barrister, investment banker or plasterer, then it's not worth fixing, just get rid!

hi there like its been said it depends on your budget
i have seen in the past a rapair job been done which could last upto 3-4 years where the rotten bit is chopped out with arround 2 inch of ok wood as well then new marine ply cut to the size of the hole and placed in where the old rotten bit once was
over the join where the 2 ply's meet screw some 4inch plate metal top and bottom then paint the underside with underseal/bitumin type paint and cover the top with normal flooring :)
Thanks Kev, that is probably what I will do. My cousin is good at the DIY lark (and a welder too) so I think he'll be best placed to help me sort this.
Trailer currently at the fabricators having the floor "fabricated", once it's done I will get it advertised on here. Should be good for a few years yet, open to offers if anyone wants a cheap trailer for the rest of summer!
Hope I can find a decent home for it, it was a super-trouper at the last rainy Glastonbury and deserves another shot at stardom (or a couple more festival appearances at least).
