I replaced my canvas with a new one from pennine, I too was a bit unsure but it really is quite an easy job, just remove the top u of the poles place them where they are situated and then start at one end replacing the poles through the hoops until you reach the other end, I then erected the poles to the first hole spread the canvas as you would if putting up the camper and replaced the screws under the bed boards job done, I actually removed the old canvas and replaced the new one in about 45 minutes
Don't forget to put the U poles the right way round with the hole for the awning on the right side (the door side) of the camper .......I know this is easily done the wrong way round because we did it....and of course we didn't spot it until we had got it all back on and screwed the ends on and of course it was all my fault
Thanks everyone..canvas is back from its pampering session and ready to face the torrential rain on our annual August outing..it may be removal in reverse but you should have seen how we got it off..it aint going to go back on that way..
wiil take your advice on the poles..awning pole holes out to the right..
How much did a new one cost?
We've done the same on our Pennine Pullman, although haven't got as far as the repair yet. Hoping it's going to be as easy to put back onto the poles as it was to take off.
