Hi all,
we have just booked a few holidays in our new trailer tent. Both the sites my wife spoke to were quite surprised that we did not ask for an EHU plot, especially the one where we are staying for two weeks in June.
This is our first year with a trailer tent, previously we had a Bear Lake 6 and never even thought about getting a EHU.
As part of the Kitchen which comes with the Trailer tent, there is a fridge, this runs on Gas or electric, and we were planning to run it off gas.
Lighting is going to be by Battery lantern, cooking by Gas hob, no TV/Phone charging DVD player or PC.
Just wanted to make sure we were not missing something, as most on here seem to use EHU, but i could be mistaken here

EHU may enable you to extend your season as gives you the ability to run fan heater in the colder temps, have used gas heaters but don't think they are as safe as fan heater.
We run fridge and electric coolbox so cuts down on shopping trips.
Have found electric pitches more regimented you have more freedom of where to pitch going without EHU.
Was really impressed with the flyer when I went down to Black Country the weekend bet you cant wait for May

Thanks for the replies,
so essentially, if we want to do cold weather camping! then the ability to run a heater off the ehu would make this possible, (possibly these are safer than gas heaters)
I agree with you miserly that it feels more like real camping with gas and battery powered equipment. I have a very old "primus" stove that i still use, for similar reasons, when we are out walking to make a brew. The wife's not to keen on using it but when you get it going, its absolutely fantastic.
AlisonBob yes very excited, only about 8 weeks until we pick it up. Have you noticed if you look on the Holtkamper site, and look at the dutch page, there are a few more very interesting options. Use google chrome, and it will translate it for you (Sort of).
