Hi

We are about to sell our beloved Pennine Pathfinder. It's a special edition 2008 which has the Blue and Cream canvas with plinth heater, outside electrics. We have added an external gas point.
It has been used but is in excellent condition, we've never worn shoes in it.There are a few marks on the canvas but purely cosmetic and a couple of very small chips out of the corner of the sink unit. It has been packed away with bubble wrap and plastic sheeting around everytime so well taken care of.
We also have one of Lisa's lightweight porch awnings which we could include.

My question( finally!) is one of the bed boards has had a small amount of mould on where the air wasn't circulating enough due to positioing and possibly the winter cover. Is there anything we can do to guarantee it won't happen again? We have scrubbed it and treated it with bleach solution.
Will the mould marks put people off and what price should we advertise it for ?

Hi

Condition is critical for a Folding Camper.

That said, there is a very, very, strong market for FC's at the right price and in the right condition.

We have recently sold our FC, had about 35 enquiries, 6 silly offers by e-mails from 'chancers' - had 4 viewings lined up for last weekend, someone took the initiative and came out the Thursday before and bought it. It was advertised for sale for just 5 days!

My point is that any FC sells ...... I would look at what the Pathfinders are advertised at elsewhere and pitch it at about that price. Lots and lots of photo's are your best bet. Be ready to send them to possible buyers via e-mail. Show the mould on the bed, be honest about it - but show that overall it has been a loved FC.

We are right at the very start of the selling season, and buyers are plentiful - so, you have time to adjust the price if you are not getting any interest (but you WILL get a lot of interest anyway - as I said these things sell very fast).

I sold a 1996 FC so the price was as low as it will ever go - you will be selling to a market where there is a loss to the buyer - it could be slightly tougher.

Good luck!

Thank you for your reply. I was just unsure whether to price it similar to others the same age.
We have cleaned it and taken loads of photos today ready for selling. It still smells new. Will be sad to see it go but we've gone to the dark side!
We will defiantley let people know about the mildew problem. I couldn't sell without being honest.

Thank you again.
