We booked a pitch on Thursday for this weekend on a CC, CL site. While on the phone we were not given the chance to say what type of unit we had nor were we asked. We were told to come along and she would be along later, which we did. Our welcome however was less than we had hoped for. When she came to see us she immediately stated that "if she had known we were a trailer tent we would not have been offered a pitch" She said the owner ( who we spoke to prior to pitching our FC) does not like tents. Think we won't be allowed back!!!!!
They do have a point. If you pitch up on a normally caravan only site it can cause feelings of jealousy as the tin tenters wish they were still young enough to camp under canvas.

I joined the Caravan Club last month explaining I had an fc, the make and model came up on her screen. We have just returned from 3 nights at Clumber Park club site and had no issues. Could spot our unit a mile of.
The CC cl sites are not the same as club sites, unfortunately some CL owners are still snobs, they want there site full of shiny caravans. We have been members for a lot of years and have only had a problem with one i solved that by not contacting them the next year.
The site belongs to them and if they only want caravans then they should state that.
