There is a Neptune on eBay this evening, looks fantastic. I just can't believe the low prices on eBay, although I will wait and see what this one goes for. Who knows a Sunncamp 550se may be back on the market sooner than expected if the Neptune doesn't go too high.... Not sure how I could justify that to my wife though
Hi not been on for a few days, just looked at the one on ebay its still at a good price but still 7 days to go though. It looks fab the one on preloved is 2350 so it would be interesting to see how high it goes. Good luck if you're bidding I also have to convince my OH lol

Love your set up it looks fab
Thanks for your input its between the Stratos or the Neptune I think x
Hmmm, the Neptune will definitely be harder to come by as they are much rarer. I have seen one or two or eBay from time to time. The Neptune is a wider version of the Mercury with a flat side on the awning. This is to accommodate the kitchen but we have found putting it up against the cabin the best option as this is flat (see 2nd pic) We used to put it against the awning side, but because the Stratos is curved you had to pull it away from the side to open the lids.
Also, be aware that the kitchen unit is a heavy lump, they were a £500 option when buying new and that's way too much. Buying 2nd hand isn't so bad but if you already have a good kitchen setup, I would maybe think about sticking with that. The good thing about them is its a place to permanently store your cutlery and utensils and it fits on the trailer which frees up car space. The downside is that it makes the trailer longer and like I said before, they are a heavy lump to move about.
Good luck
Thanks for the advice about the kitchen I like that the Neptune has 3 gas rings too.I dont have a camping kitchen anymore I sold it with my tent so would be looking for one with it included.
Julie if you are interested the Cabanon will be up for sale once I have opened it up and checked it over after the winter. Like I said before it doesn't come with the kitchen but we have a unit that has a space for your cooker (which can be included, also has a grill) which has shelving underneath and two cupboards at the side and also a wash stand which you can put a washing up bowl in. As for storing the plates and crockery, you can just leave them in the trailer in the storage cupboards.
Bidding much better on the Neptune now - Last year, a very well used Neptune, with a couple of repairs, sold for £1900. If this one goes for anything close to £2000 someone will get a bargain if it is as described.
There were no bids on the Sunncamp 550, even at £1500. It is a great tent for the price, however, we got ours for less, even though it was in great condition and had a kitchen
I think that we will stick with the Sunncamp and let someone else go for the Neptune
