I have just purchased my first ever pre loved conway trailer tent. its a 1992 version.
Anyway there is a kitchen unit which came with a red gas bottle but no pipes or anything. at the bottom of the kitchen unit is a metal pipe which i presume the gas pipe fits onto.
My question is, when i took up camping last year and got a camping stove i got a blue gas bottle, regulator and pipe. would i be able to use the blue bottle pipe and regulator, or do i need to get the red bottle filled and get a pipe and regulator for that?
Thank you!
Yes, if you're sure the pipe is for the gas input (ribbed end for the hose to fit onto before securing with Jubilee clip?) you can use your blue (butane) cylinder and regulator, unless it's near freezing outside.
If you want to use it in very cold weather, propane (red cylinder) with an appropriate regulator would be better, otherwise - if it's empty - exchange it for a butane one and have a spare!
