hello we have bought a new folding camper and totally in love. i sit here worrying about the canvas. it had a good airing last weekend when we first bought it home but just wondering how often we should air the camper.
Hi loolou welcome to the folding camper world.I wouldn,t worry too much about airing during the spring summer months,it should air plenty from use .It also depends on how you are storing it and how easy and convenient it is to air.Durng winter time it is a good idea to air on a nice sunny day (if you can find one)

thanks it is stored on my parents driveway under a car port with a winter storage cover on we go away in 3 weeks and can't wait.
Yes that sounds ideal, and a great place to dry the camper in case you have to wet pack, room for one more?lol
have a great holiday

We never air ours through the winter...am assuming the 2009 fiesta has the same acrylic as the 2009 crusader? Only difference is ours is in the garage...we put a dish of salt in when we pack it away and the salt was as dry when we unpacked it at easter...no smell or anything.
thanks everyone. lucky with storage lol looks like a campsite as the neighbour has a fc and my parents a camper van.
ours is canvas coffee and cream probably the last before the acrylic came in. but salt seems a good idea to keep everything inside damp free think my mum used to do that in our caravan when i was little
Ours is in storage in France ... so we only open it up at the first camp site!
Never had a problem ... so far!
When we had it at home ... we'd open it up about once every three months, on a sunny day ... I know that implies three sunny days outside summer!
ours is now sat "airing " on the drive.. de-wintered and ready for the off.. all in good shape no winter inhabitants...thankfully ..... providing the Berlingo is given a clean bill of health this week then poss for a weekender next week

Mine was put away end of October last year and just opened up now, no smells no damp etc.
Just make sure when parked up you lift the front up so the rain falls straight off the back and the air gets under it.
Hope you enjoy it.
