We have just bought a new FC and need to sell our old one. It is a 98 Cruiser and I'm looking for some advice please on whether you think anyone will buy it and how much we should ask for it.
It's starting to go around the bottom of the panels and the aluminium is starting to crumble. The previous owner had filled in some areas which made it watertight, but now a few tiny holes have appeared elsewhere and have let the water in over winter. The affected areas are behind the kitchen unit in the corner and the inside bottom corner on the door and the panels are spongy. All the other panels are ok wood-wise.
But we opened it all up over the weekend and the lino on the floor next to the wheel arch, under the bench, is starting to come away. We looked underneath outside and a tiny bit of the floor there does look like it's on its way out. It hasn't spread yet though.
The canvas is generally good but there are a couple of tears on the roof in the centre where the canvas has been ripped by the centre pole going up in the wrong place, which we repaired with tenacious tape. We were heavily rained on last summer and had no leaks, so we think the canvas is still in good condition. It hasn't been waterproofed.
The inside is in great condition, which makes the other things harder to bear. We have replaced the floor and everything else, bar a bit of age-related wear and tear, scrubs up really well and feels like it could be only a few years old.
I've looked at the lovely Frederico's threads and while I feel someone else could do what he's done on this one, I know we couldn't, due to lack of time, space, tools and DIY experience. I think at least the bottom half of the outer aluminium will need replacing, which means losing the stripes and affecting the look of the FC.
Do you think anyone will buy it or should we break it for spares? My mum says no-one will touch it if the floor has started to go as it makes a bigger job of it. But we need to try and get as much as we can for it, so I thought I'd ask the experience FC owners what they thought.
Thanks.

Please be honest. I bought a 2005 Pennine (paid a lot for it) in March this year. The seller was very good at what he was doing, (distracting me for the bad bits). After a few hours work I managed to put right the faults, (cutting bad out wood and replacing etc.). Already we have had one week at Brean and a week at a cracking site between Brean and W.S.M. called Batch Nurseries.
