Wish i never knew about this place! Went to Theobalds in Aug 2010 and could not wait to get back home! Myself and other's staying at the camp thought the wardens (husbands & wife team) would be better off working in a prison. They ruined our stay by being constantely nosy and so so rude. I do not know how they can behave the way they do and still be running the place. It is disgusting. I would not recommend this site to anyone and everytime i saw 'the friendly site' the caravan and camping clubs logo on the way in i laughed. Couldn't be further from! Only three showers for each sex. Building works going on constantely. I felt so sorry for the people who had tents by the building works and were not warned by the wardens that drilling, digging etc would be done less than 1/2 metre away from their tent! Very loud. Not peaceful at all. Better off putting up a tent in your back garden!

The Club tend to move the site managers around i have found most of them cheery and helpful only time i found a misery was at Normans Bay but it was only him the rest of the crew were great

We're in the middle of GCSE's in our house so no long weekend away for us. We missed the last bank holiday too for the same reason.   I know it's only this year, and it has to be done obviously, but I'm really missing getting away in the van.
