dave - it's dual voltage. The TV came supplied with a 12v transformer that ends in a round 4 pin plug and that seems quite common with such TVs.
I've had a look on ebay and the 12v cigarette plug to 4 pin plugs (ie. suitable for running of a FC battery) seem to be around a tenner. I haven't tested the pinout on ours yet so haven't bought such a cable. This one for example -> http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161021144303
It will definitely play AVIs from a USB stick and also those written to CD/DVD. In both cases it shows a list of files on the media and when you pick it off it plays. I haven't tried MP4 files yet.

You don't have to flip them down they can stay closed.as they can be wall mounted as well.
I was wAiting for someone to say that.
No problem camcroft, I've only just realised you could do this, and works brilliantly on the 3 network.
Just check your tethering is in your contract as someone told me you can get charged for this.
Not only can you do this for the iPad but I link my phone to her wifi as well, all at the same time. So we have radio tv Internet all in one.
------------- Up there for thinking, down there for dancing. 😎

Does it do 12v ??
It is powered by a plug in transformer, but we never checked at what voltage ,as we only go HU
Well we have bought the new Telly. It is a Cello 16" LED with a DVD player in it.
Just got it through our local TV shop so that if anything goes wrong with it we can more easily get it sorted.
We have also bought a Microwave and now we are waiting for the Vacuum Cleaner and the Alarm to come through, hopefully before we head for a 6 day holiday to Melrose next week.
It is nice to be buying new stuff for the camper instead of making do with equipment that is a 10 years past their "should be thrown in the Cowp" dates.
I could have had a 19" that would still have fitted under the bench seat, but it had no DVD player.
Actually now that I see it in situ in the FC, the 16" is plenty big enough considering how close we will be sitting to it.
Well actually how close the SWMBO will be sitting.
I will be out in the awning doing my camping tapestry!
