Have been looking at these online, Has anyone got one or seen one in the flesh so to speak? Just trying to find some reviews about them or previous discussions.

I presume you mean the Trigano Silvers we haven't got one, but have seen plenty in the flesh at camping shows. We love them and if we do ever change our Dandy it will probably be to get one of these.

Yes, I do mean the Trigano Silvers - they look really well, light to tow and small enough to store at home. The new Pennine convertible caravans are very similar in price to this now - definitely worth a look at

Looked at the Trigano Silvers at both the Birmingham and Manchester shows, they are of most interest to me as we mostly go to the South of France for our fortnight holiday in July.

And as the Silver is under 2m in height they go free on the autoroute.

Also for towing all models are 1200kg at max, and of course will be less subject to side winds etc.

Problem is price, they are a lot more expensive than a regular van, and last time I looked they did not come with an oven.

Also the max width is 2m so again they are going to be slightly more narrow inside than a regular van.

For me the jury is still out as whether the positives out way the negatives, it's a tough call.

I have been considering the Adria Altea and the Caravelair Ambience again 1200kg max and a lot more van for your wonga.

Forgot to mention I did have look around at a Trigano Silver at Caseys Chester, although at the time they had just the one model on display.

Compared to regular vans, they do seem small inside, but not as small as what an Eriba is.

Not sure if Caseys still have one on display, but worth a call I guess.

Hi Francais

The last time we went they didn't have any in (month or so ago) - we had our folding camper from them in 2009, but at the time of purchase, we didn't take any interest in them then. I wonder if they have decided to keep with the F/C's and tents.

We have owned a Silver 310 TDE for a couple of years now, and are very pleased with it. Small enough to keep in one half of the double garage, very easy to tow, and narrow enough so that I don't have to fit special towing mirrors to see alongside it. It is very low so seems slightly nose up when towing, but this does not cause any problems.

Been looking at them only on the net, we need something small to fit the rear of our drive, still fancy a Eriba puck, had a look at the Going Cockpit the other week then the Freedoms last week, All got good points, not sure what we'll end up with lol

Re mirrors, be careful only needs a keen bobby to spot the lack of them, Legal requirement to fit them I'm sure, better read the Law up on them.

I take your point re mirrors, but I have checked my mirror sight lines for legality and safety and definitely do not have to fit extra mirrors to tow my Silver.
