We are having a good time kids worn out been to sandbanks today kids love the beach. All quite now teenagers have been called in for bed still my two little ones were not woken by them.will take some pictures and put them on here or Facebook when we get back. Rain given for next two or three days so mit have to find a shopping centre to keep dry in. Have a Safe journey tomorrow .
Whee did your bike go kelper? As I may have a problem getting a bike rack for my car, as I have a aerofoil sticking out above my rear window.
I'm thinking now the wife me and the girls with a bike.
------------- Up there for thinking, down there for dancing. 😎
Buy a rack that clamps on behind your towbar we have a maypole make. We have two on roof rack carriers and two on tow bar. Will take pictures when loaded up a post on here.
We take 3 bikes...needed them this time as well as we are the furthest from the showers we have ever been. We have a high rise rear bike rack, it's great.
Once you've been a few times, you'll get into a routine of how you want to organise stuff...and then you'll able to have fun buying new things...I love buying new storage things.
That's the first experiement ... slightly changed now ... a Thule roof carrier across the rear bed support ... I've drilled two new holes for the locator pins to snap into (to keep the bike as close to the bodywork as possible.
I put a reg plate on the rear pannier (side) of the bike .... a couple of clip on led lights if we travel at night.
Then a MaxxRaxx for the other two bikes (could take more if you get the high ride version) .... IMHO MaxxRaxx are the Rolls Royce of carriers (we've been through a few!).
The other thing is...you're camping and supposed to be able to spend most of the time outdoors...not always ideal in the UK, but unless its raining or freezing, we're outside.
HI , just got back from our first FC weekend away. I have the same issues. I think I will keep it for couple of seasons and see how I get on with it. I will be buying a storage unit for our clothes though. There is five of us, 3 under 11. I have a trigano 415.
------------- Its not your job that counts but what you do in your spare time!!
Yeah I thinking the same at the moment, I only have 2 and the wife, I absolutely love our folding camper, and there is always going to be the problem of something does something better but also has problems. Oh well, I think the poor people in the windswept damp tent next to us was thinking I wish I had a FC whilst I was thinking I would prefer a caravan now.

We are swithering over 2007 Conway Crusader too..though not for storage reasons, we are fine with that. There are well ..were to be honest..eldest not coming now :-( ) 5 of us plus lab cross dog and we were ok as long as the full awning was up, couldn't manage without that. Curver boxes with lids good, and just took large drum bags or suitcases for clothes..couldn't decide which was best..and also we had converted the rather small and useless wardrobe..for us anyway..into a food cupboard. Mind you we were used to tent camping so it was luxury for us! Bikes went on the tow bar bike rack. Always had a roof box too as the dog took up some of the boot (and wouldn't agree to go in the roof box!)
May sell though as we are not getting enough time to use it..not at all last year..though I will be so very sad to see it go. Just like the idea we can choose to go anywhere for any length of time, booking permitting.
That's what I have a swan neck, but it was installed by audi when the can was built. And you unlock it with a key and it drops out and a flap pops over the hole, you would never know it had a towbar once it pops out.
Anyway you deliver the complete setup on eBay lol.

Is it possible to put an underbed tent on your fc? When my grandson was small, we used to put all his toys in one and it was his own little den - he loved it! We have both a caravan and a small quick erect tt and I'm not convinced you would find you have much more room in a caravan - unless you put an awning up.
I would say you have to get a much larger caravan to get noticeably more internal space which is exactly what we have done. That brings its own costs etc.
Like everything its finding the best compromise for you and yours at that point in your life.
You can't put underbed pods on the FC like the TT's but you can get annexes for the awnings
The Pennine Fiesta used to have an underbed tent available. (2004 cataloque - which i found the other day) Wouldn't be able to on a Pathfinder / Pullamn etc as support for bed would be in way.
