Poor earth maybe?
A leisure battery cannot go from good to bad that quickly, it's just no possible as the current drain required would be melting cables and starting fires.
A 100 Ah battery would theoretically provide 100amps supply for one hour, I say theoretically because it won't do that in real life and it's also very bad to flatten a battery completely but you see the point?
A bad earth on the other hand can easily cause this fault as can a corroded fuse holder or connector somewhere.
Are the battery terminals clean and coated lightly with Vaseline jelly?
