I am so happy and I cant wait until that start of July. After almost a year trying to convince my good lady that we should get a Trailer tent she agreed After looking at what was out there and not wanting to spend a huge amount we managed to pick up a nice wee Conway Clipper DL. Having read lots of reviews this was the one we picked as we got it for a good price. After doing a near 500 mile round trip (day out without the kids) it was a dream to tow. So after pitching in the garden for the first time and without an argument lol it felt great, Not the biggest and best looking but its lovely to us. Neighbors that have never spoke to us came over to talk and reminiscing about years gone by when they took there kids away camping who now have teenage kids themselves. We are really looking forward to our first big trip with it and are heading towards Machrihanish with the wife, 2 boys 5 and 7 and Meg the Collie cross (she needs a holiday as well)
Cheers Paul

Hi npabu,
Welcome to the forum, I'm sure you and your family will have a excellent time camping.
I've only just started out camping like you with my family. And so far it's the best thing I've ever done.
You'll get lots of help here. I own a FC and have received lots of help, infact I've probably worn them all out with constant questions lol.
Anyway have a great time in your new second home, and try it all out close to home so you can get a feeling of what you need.
Anyway good luck you'll soon want to go away every weekend

Up there for thinking, down there for dancing. 😎

Hi npabu
Welcome to the forum and to trailer tenting too! We're currently on our second trailer tent, a Sunncamp 400 SE, after our first one a Conway Corniche DL which was bought second-hand and which we eventually wore out!!!
We have 4 offspring, our 2 girls are in their teens and our boys both in their 20's, but all 4 still like to join us (with their b/fs or g/fs these days) even if only for a few days each time the trailer tent is hauled down to Devon or Cornwall.
We introduced them to trailer tenting when all were at a young age, similar ages to those of your boys now and they all took to it like ducks to water, so you'll have no problems.

Enjoy
Best wishes
Paul C.
