Hi, new to the FC scene, I have just bought a 2004 FC , easy to erect but the awning was a pain in the at &£) . If anyone has a randger 415 can you give me tips on setting up the awning, no matter he we dd it, there was still ponds across each of the roofs poles. I could not get it taught! Any help would be greatly received ....!

We have a trigano 575lx fc 2005 had that problem last year no matter how tight I pushed the poles out the water would pool on one side I think it was how I put it up, I kept moving the legs up or down until it stopped pooling. Though I would have the same problem this year but it seemed ok. The pitch was more level this year which helped. The wife spoke to black country caravans they said not had any trouble before but can buy poles that clip across the poles to help keep the roof up more.
I have a trigano 415 dl and also the same problem. i have had the camper about 5 years now and still haven't solved it. Every time i put it up i try and get it better but its always the same result.
I have resorted to putting foam pipe lagging around the horizontal poles along the edges to take out some of the slack. This helps but in heavy rain i have to tuck towels in as well its the only way i can get the roof tight enough for the rain to run off. Ill watch this thread with interest to see if anyone has the solution.

We had the same issue with our Randger 575tc in April. We solved it by lovering the offending end considerably. A small channel of water still collected but ran off and didn't create the huge pond we'd had previously.
The ground sloped and was uneven which is what we put it down to. Being quite new to fc's we'll have to see if it happens again.
In one respect I am glad it's not just me, but then it must a design issue. If its not perfect then you get lakes on the roof. I assume only a trigano awning for a 415 will fit?
