First trip away in our new FC and we left the instructions at home. Doh! We are on 12v with no EHU available.
We can't get our fridge lit on gas. We've used the hob & oven ok. OH thinks he saw a spark last night and heard a whoosh but we couldn't see a flame and it didn't get cold. We've turned on the gas in the locker, the valve in the locker and the valve under the sink. We've taken the vent cover off outside and nothing looks untoward.
And our taps don't work. The lights and toilet do. We've checked the plug connection behind the sink but not sure where else to look.
Any suggestions pls? We had a 98 Cruiser before so just wondering how much different a new one is and if there's something we've overlooked.
Thank you. We've now managed to get the taps working, not sure what did it as we tried many things.
Now stuck with a non-working fridge. We'll try again when it's less sunny as it'll be easier to see any sparks or pilot light. We had a problem with our last fridge and ended up replacing the piezo ignition, so we might try that again.
the fridge seems to be level sensitive apparently when using the gas, this has been brought up previously and you need to be virtually perfectly level But we have used the fridge on gas once before and found it to be a devil to get going,,could barely see if the thing was lit as the viewing for the pilot is not the best on any day let alone a sunny one..... could be one of those things where you need "the knack" .... robert the bruce comes to mind!!!

Don't wait to see if the fridge cools down as that can take quite a while before you can really notice it, just put your hand near the vent to see whether it's warm - if there's no heat coming from the vent, then the gas isn't lit.
I always had a devil of a job to get my firdge lit on gas. I don't use it on gas often, and found if I hold the gas button in for a number of seconds, (seems too long but it works) before pressing the piezo, then it goes first time. It needs this time for the gas to get back through the pipe it would seem. It is also a dificult to see the light in that little window in the corner when you have vaifoculs!!!!!
Thanks everyone. We checked the level and the bubble was between the lines.
I know what you mean about it being a knack. But we used to get our 98 FC fridge lit fairly quickly so we think we're missing something. Is there a way of checking if the gas is coming through?
You should be able to smell the gas coming through. On our Pennine Pullman the fridge will only operate on gas and the flame is at the back left corner. Quite clear to see if you lie your head on the floor beside the fridge. We did find it takes a few sparks before it will hold the flame and make sure the gas 'knob' is held in for around 30 seconds, before releasing slowly.
