Quick question, when we put the awning up, we put the skirt thing around the camper, but we had lots left over! I couldn't find any other 'seems' to run it along so just tucked it under the pulled out bed area.....I did think it would continue under the camper, as this is where the 'extra' sleeping area is, but couldn't 'obviously' see any where for it to go??
I don't know your FC, but on ours the skirt on the awning only goes on the door side of the bed area. The normal skirt and the bit from the awning double up on the bit. Our 98 FC only had one zip for this so we had a bit left over but our 2004 one has two zips.
You should have two skirts.
Each will wrap around the base of your two bed units (all three sides i.e. the only side not zipped is where the bed hinges.
Mmmmm we only have one.....it goes along the 'front' of the camper, ie under door etc....we have the extra bit that does go under one of the bed units, that makes the extra 'sleeping area'. This is the same end that we have the extra 'skirt' material, hence why I thought it should go around the bed unit, as well, to make it more air tight/cosy etc??
Mmmmm perhaps I am calling it the wrong thing?? The bit I have some left of, is the bit that goes under the door?? Along the bit that hasn't got anything on in the picture! xx
OK
What we have on the Pullman ... and I think is pretty similar ... is a long narrow piece that has a tough-ish 'tube' running along one side (top), which threads into a grooved tube on the bottom of the camper body (beneath the door ... there is a gap in the 'tube' when you get to the wheel. At the point where the wheel arch is, there is a corresponding 'flap' on the 'skirt', which covers the wheel and arch ... our Pullman has a couple of press studs that engage with their 'mates' which is fixed just above the wheel arch ... in some models, the 'studs' were supplied seperately and had to be fitted by the customer.
So, this skirt runs the full length of the bottom of the camper's body on the door side.
Does that a. make sense, and b. help your problem?
Here's a pic of ours in situ ... though some is masked by other stuff:
