Hello Everyone, i'm new to the forum and wonder if anyone can help me?

We recently purchased a 1986 Conway Laser folding camper. We're really pleased with it. It needs some TLC but i'm looking forward to bringing it back to it's former glory!

It came with bags of stuff which we've been trying to fathom out exactly what they are and where they go including two 'underbed tents'. I assumed these wouldnt work (as they would for a normal trailer tent) as the bars underneath the slide out bed sections would be in the way?

Am I right to assume these are just in the package perhaps from a previous trailer tent or should they actually fit?

I hope the question makes sense! Thanks in advance for your help

Hi

Before you sell them on, check first, there are under-bed pods designed for the FC's.

I have one for my Crusader, and I can fit it under the none tow bar end, but it did take a bit of time to sort out where it actually attached to the underbed.

Lastly, we found ours more useful for storage during the hoiday, as they are a little closed in under there, due to the bed supports.

Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. Much appreciated. It's hard to tell but I guess just need to see if I can get them to fit as would be useful for storage. Is there any obvious way to tell theyre under-bed pods for FC's?

No; not really, my FC pods look much the same as my TT pods.

If you put the pod in place, have a look to see if the elastic bands in the loop holes, line up with something that looks like the proper attachment.

You should be able to attach it somewhere to keep it stable, even if it is not the proper one.

Folding camper underbed tents sre usually made from canvas the same as the camper so they can be used without side skirts whereas tt underbed tents are made of a thinner polycotton that isnt waterproof

Interesting; never heard that before, or ever seen one.

Must be hard to get hold of.

Have you got one yourself?
