Just got back from a very wet weekend awning hanging over the bannister get cabin back up tomorrow to be fair its only the 3rd time wet pack up in 9 years but beginning to think is it worth it.
Wet pack ups are never any fun and do take the fun out of camping. Trick is to plan your next trip asap bit like falling off a bike get back on straight away.
Must admit it was nice this weekend not having to worry on the Sunday, and having a quicker set up on Friday evening but we did still try to ensure we got awning down dry in a break in weather so it doesn't remove the wet pack down completely although it is a lot easier I have to admit.
Towing home in 40mph gusts not as much fun as towing our old Pathfinder however.
Everything in life is a compromise just remember. Its about working our what's best for you at that point in your life
No fun atall..... We returned yesterday after packing up out Trigano Cheverny in strong winds and heavy rain....was a nightmare but today i have opened it all out and dried it, also ive fabsilled it this morning whilst it was all out......very disheartening to say the least and did put a dampener (sorry) on the entire weekend, going again in August so fingers crossed weather will be better :-)
------------- Enjoyed tenting,
Enjoyed trailer-tenting,
Now loving caravanning 😊😊
We have been the masters of the wet pack up in our camping lives, but having tried out the new FC this last weekend it seems like we might have confused the weather gods. We did everything to enrage them (wearing shorts, BBQ, awning up) but managed complete dry pack away.
