Yeah, we spent all of 2012 looking at caravans to replace our 1996 Countryman. We would store the caravan away from home, at a cost of around £1 a day. We all know that, for 95% of the year, the Unit is parked up somewhere. I can keep the Camper in the garage with my summer sports car, easy and free. Can hitch up and go with a moments notice. Can camp at short notice on Certified Locations - as it is classed as a tent, so not limited to 5 per CL like a Caravan would be ......... means that there is always space for you, this adds excellent flexibility to holidays. Cheaper Insurance adds to the FC appeal, as does 'beds always made' benefit. So, after long and hard consideration, we bought a new Countryman Deluxe this year .... it's certainly not as well built as our 1996 model - but, heyho, that's what it's like these days ....... save pennies at every corner.
