I used to use a huge roof bag on top of my camplet,it came from a company called van comfort, and is the medium size, which is nearly twice as big as a Thule folding soft box. I held it on with a couple of ratchet straps. It's not the worlds greatest quality bag, water resistant, rather than proof, but it did the job for 3 years or so. I may still have it,though I have a sneaky suspicion it went in our last boot sale.If so it's up for grabs for a donation to Help for Heroes. I will have a look in the loft when I get home in the morning. Now i use the touring cover,I got a second hand one from Camperlands, and it's brilliant, with the lid loaded with all the soft stuff in Sunncamp tent bags,as well as last minute bits and bobs. The ground sheet and under bed store(clipped in place) are under the cover too. However you load the tt,don't be tempted by an elasticated trailer load cover, they come in all the wrong sizes, and on most the hooks won't go around the bars, and they end up looking like an explosion in a spaghetti factory.

I've tried everything. I used a big Halfords roof box,it CAN stay on but positioning it for balance and not interfering with the underbed store was impossible. The roof bag was great,as it came off completely when setting up,and held the under bed store in place in transit. But when I got the chance at the touring cover for half price,I took it.On the top of mine is anything that may be mucky, wet or need airing,so ground sheet, underbed store, bedding, ehu, pegs and tools, trolley for the loo,and anything I remember last minute.
stdomingo, please ring,I have lost your number ,sorry.
