Hi don't know if anyone can help. WE have a Cabanon galaxy and I was trying to put the rear legs down this afternoon to get the kitchen off. One of the legs, the black knob just twists and doesn't move the threaded part, therefore I can't get the leg down. I assume I will have to get a new twisty bit, but does anyone have an idea to get the threaded part out so I can get the leg down. I have squirted it with WD40, and then tried to twist with a set of pliers holding the thread but this still won't make it budge.
Any ideas would be useful.
Thanks.
I had similar problem on my TT, i was turning but nothing happened.....then the bolt just came off. I still managed to get it to lower by taking the weight of the leg and lifting is slightly, then I would turn it using my fingers no problem. I have now replaced the corner steady, but on closer inspection reckon I could have just had it welded back on. They are easy to remove and swap
Ignore me, think i misunderstood....
------------- As a child my families menu consisted of two choices: take it or leave it.
If you cut the black knob off with a stanley knife you should find a bolt inside which can be undone with a spanner or socket, I think it's a 10 or 12mm that you'll need. We had the same problem on our Conway and we used a pair of mole grips to tighten it up, after several years we managed to buy a new bolt and knob but that fell apart very quickly.
