Hi, I'm new here.

My dh and I are considering buying either a crusader or pathfinder. We have today seen lots of 2003 or 2004 models but would ideally like a more recent used model (2008 onwards). Are these as rare as they seem? Do people just not upgrade fcs in the same way as caravans?

Any advice?

Come summertime yes, winter time for obvious reason you will find more. But I couldn't get hold of one last year until October .

we got out 2009 crusader when it was just a year old...have you tried dealers?

I have a 2007 Pathfinder that is about to go on sale.

It comes with awning, awning carpet, winter cover and motor mover.

On the downside, I live in Argyll in Scotland.

Yes, there is one in Northampton that we went to today, either brand new or 2003/4 ones, Might just have to be patient.

Yes be patient likebi was and Get most you can. The motor movers are a very good idea, as I've previously discussed with lobey, especially if you need to move up a slight incline.

Thank for the responses. Not planning to buy yet; Argyll is a bit of a trek from E Anglia, it took me ages to persuade my husband to drive the 1 hour to Northampton!

I know what you mean. I used to live in Kettering and even then, you wouldn't catch me driving to Northampton!!!

I had to travel 5 hrs to get mine in the end from Kent to Bridlington.

I've no intention of selling mine but 2003 was a good year for pennine. They have a decent colour scheme and gas and electric hot water. Lots had external bbq and electric points which all became extras on later models or in the case of the water heater electric only. Ours is still in excellent condition.

Really we do not want to sell ours, but ill health has forced us to look for another form of enjoying our love of the great outdoors.

Little did we know just 3 years ago, that our love of our FC would be so short lived.

hi j brasso,

we got our pathfinder about 3years ago from an advert on the pre-loved website, a guy called pete from the manchester area who buys and sells folding campers, he was very helpful with the assembly of the camper and nothing was too much trouble for him, check the ad out as the prices were far cheaper than a dealer, happy searching, paul
