Hi all, I have o
A 1980s pennine pullman and it is in need of a little tlc. It has many repairs that look ok but also has places where stitching has come away or there are small tears in the canvas. Does anyone know a quick but effective patch type of repair?
Many thanks
Matt
You could try E bay. If search for trampoline repair patch you should get this sticky clear tape. There is 2 types but I'm sure 1 of them cover canvas to.
tear aid or tenacious tape you want, but i wouldn't use them on high stress areas but if its in the middle of...say the roof, then it would be fine. Stick a patch on both sides, and before sticking on round off all four edges
------------- As a child my families menu consisted of two choices: take it or leave it.
Thanks for the advice. Can I get tenacious tape at Millets does anyone know? Or maybe blacks. I've seen it online but can't afford to wait for a delivery as I am out on Wednesday and rain is predicted!
I have just put 2 reinforcing patches on the apex of my cruser.
I removed the cabin canvas using the method shown on tvs web site.
I cut the canvas to size blanket stitched the edges then stuck them in place with tear mender.
I then hand stitched them in place.
Whilst the canvas was off I took the oportunity to replace several of the adjuster buttons on the frame poles.
All back on now and waiting for its next trip.

If the holes are relatively small you could cut some canvas patches a bit bigger than the hole and get some contact adhesive and glue the patches in do it on the inside and they will be barely noticeable
------------- Its a lovely day for cracking walnuts
